My name is Gary Caplinger, and I work in real estate sales and consulting for Keller Williams. I am also co-conspirator with Scott Scrivner, Liquid Media graphic design guru, and a host of others in Convergence, a community of people working for Restoration in the Plaza District and its surrounding neighborhoods.
After living most of my life in the suburbs of Oklahoma City and Dallas, I became enthralled with the mystery, beauty, and energy of urban life. My family (wife Kathy, son Caleb, and daughter Claire) have completely fallen in love with Oklahoma City! It is a city filled with beautiful, creative, and compassionate people. We are constantly building a web of friends throughout this city who also love this place, who are passionate about life in community with others, and are driven to come together to work for the good of our neighborhoods, city, and planet. Though we have a long way to go, our family is continually evaluating how to perpetuate sustainable living in a more urban context.
I dove headfirst into the real estate business last year hoping to paint a different picture, than the often maligned one, of the Real Estate Professional and his or her value to the community. The former images portraying Real Estate salesmen/women in a similar light to used car salesmen are for the most part completely untrue. I hope to be more of a long-term friend and resource for life in this amazing city and all things real estate. Unlike some in this business, I will never push you to buy something more than you can afford, more quickly than you are ready to do it. In fact, some of my clients already have been a little shocked when I have pushed them towards more frugal and well-thought-out options for buying, selling, or investing in residential property.
